Employment

Discrimination

Employees benefit from statutory protection from a wide range of discrimination including discrimination on the basis of their sex, sexual orientation, race, religious belief, disability or age.

Whilst discrimination is sometimes obvious, such as derogatory comments from a colleague on the basis of your sex. discrimination can also be more subtle and indirect such as job requirements that make it more difficult for a person of a particular religious belief to carry out their role.

The effects of discrimination are often similar whether the discrimination is direct or indirect. We have experience of advising in relation to complex discrimination claims. We appreciate that employment related disputes need to be handled firmly but sensitively and we work within these parameters to achieve successful results for our clients, either via compromise agreements or employment tribunal claims.

If you think that you may have a claim for discrimination please contact Louise Attrup.

Strict time limits apply to all Employment Tribunal Claims so it is important that you seek advise promptly.
